Thursday

It's Thursday evening about seven-ish and I've been out all day. Now I'm very happy to be home in our nice warm apartment. I spent most of the afternoon doing some research for the novel. I'm getting excited about what is coming next which I am not telling y'all because I don't want to give too much away about the story. I plan on doing more research than I did for WHAT'S DONE IS DONE. I didn't realize how much this would help me.

I got a webcam (Logitec) for Christmas and have not used it. If you have one and want to talk and see me (big deal) just open yours and invite me. I know Virginia has one but I don't think it's hooked up yet.

Lea, check them out. Maybe we wouldn't feel like we were 3,000 miles from each other. Wal-Mart has them. Not expensive either.

I would chat more but haven't spent much time with my hubby, so I'm going to move to the living room for awhile.

Shawn, does your webcam fit on the computer you someday might have upstairs? I need to visit with Lesley and the kids.

Goodnight dear family and friends.

God Bless y'all.

Work

Hello everyone, today this will be very short. I just wanted you all to know that I would like to write everyday even if I start by being completely ignorant of what I'm going to write.

Well today I plan on spending time on the book and taking notes for a future chapter that is in my head. I also am working a few hours late this afternoon into this evening at the ARC.

It's about noon I've just finished some housework. Can you believe it? I have complained forever about not feeling like or finding time for this chore and today I really did accomplish something.

Sorry for the small talk but I need to finish the chapter I'm working on and do notes for the one I mentioned above.

Until tomorrow,
God Bless Y'all

Today

It's Tuesday and I just noticed the date of my last post. The days seem to fly by some of the time. Others just crawl past. I find it frustrating to try to write when I've had an issue with my computer but today my grandson, Aaron looked at it and said he thinks I need to replace a piece of cable. So if that is my only problem I can be a happy camper again just with a quick trip to Wal-Mart. I will probably put this off because it's working fine now. But the next time it gets upset with me, or me with it, I will make the trip.

My friend, Kathy has broken her leg and could use prayer for a complete healing. She is a sweet lady and has one beautiful daughter.

This is a small hint about the sequel: Courtney continues to have health issues with her seizures, Neil and Mae have some major changes in their lives, Beth has developed a compassion for abused women, Dora is trying to get Leah to say she doesn't want to visit for the summer. Her only problem is, Leah does want to come. Three new people will be introduced into the story.
Want their names? That wouldn't be fair. What would you do for surprises? Read the book!

Now if I miss some days here, I'm either out doing the errands that life seems to throw at us or probably working on the continuation of 'the book'. Still no title but thanks to a sleepless night I asked God to give me a name like he did for WHAT'S DONE IS DONE. Now I have a couple of possibilities rolling around in my head.

Praise the Lord for no sleep. I really am blessed because I don't have to get up mornings for work.

Until next time,
God Bless y'all (I can see you smile, Shawn)

Another Cold Day

Good-evening everyone, I thought I would write a little before I close down for the night. I have spent most of the afternoon trying to get the sequel to flow to my satisfaction. I have been studying the different styles of novel writing. One man said he goes back after every chapter and edits and works it until he is satisfied with the chapter. I tried that and I don't think it's going to work for me. I might get to chapter five and realize I need to change something in chapter two. If I have spent hours just trying to make it a great chapter, and now decide I want to change something I have really wasted a lot of time. I guess I'm going to just do the same as I did with WHAT'S DONE IS DONE. Write the story and then go back over it. Edit and fix and do any changes I need then.

Nice, I have just made a decision. Being a woman I can always change my mind later. Right!!

Until later,
God Bless

Winter

I won't even begin to tell you how much I dislike cold weather. I think seasons are something you ether love or hate. I don't remember ever liking winter. I do remember sledding and ice skating. My feet would get so cold when I went ice skating but I had a good time until then.

I have always loved hot summers until three years ago. Hot was definitely too hot and our humidity added to it was almost unbearable. Who wants to spend more days inside? I've just had months of indoor life and I want fresh air. I'm just trying to tell you that I'm fed up with this cold. I'm fed up with being cooped up inside and if I go out I freeze. I can't win. I just read on Korana's blog that she is usually okay until March but this year she is suffocating with cabin fever in February. "I have to agree Kor, this year seems to be crawling at a snails pace."

Now I need to say that realistically I should be using this time to write the sequel, and I am, but some days I am too frustrated to do much of anything.

The story line of the sequel is coming along but I have changed the beginning twice and now I believe it needs to be tweeked again. So, coming from an untrained writer this is probably good that I am learning. What am I learning? Well for one thing listen more and talk less. Reaseach to make sure things I write aren't just floating in my head. Example would be something like saying that South Carolina usually gets tons of snow in the winter and everyone is so use to this, they never have to have a snow day or close anything because of a blizzard.
Blizzard? They probably don't even know the meaning of the word. Now, if I am writing about Montana...I think you get the idea. So speaking of these things I need to get to writing before I decide dishes need to be washed and junk like that.
Looking for spring.

Until next time.

God Bless y'all. (smile Shawn)
