Sunny and Hot

Good morning everyone,

We had a wonderful vacation and John is back to work this morning. I hope he has a great day. It might be a little hard getting back into the routine after two weeks off, but I know him and he will be happy as a pig in a mud muddle to have his schedule back. He truly loves his job.

A couple of years ago we went to visit Gin in September and the weather was in the low to mid 80's with a lot of sun and we walked a lot and had a great time.

The difference this trip was not only that she lives in a different place but the weather was hot, oh, so hot. Here at home we were getting some rain and the temperature was only in the 60's I understand. In Murfreesboro, Nashville and surrounding areas it was anywhere between 95 and 100. As we were driving our rental into the parking area at the airport to fly home the temperature thingy read 100. It was suppose to cool down in the evenings but I'm not sure it went down to the 60's like the weatherman said. We did get rain for about 5 minutes one morning and again for about 5 minutes that same afternoon. The rest of the time it was pretty clear and sunny. Am I complaining? Well just a little bit. It reminded me of the awful heat we experienced living in LasVegas a few years ago. They talk about dry heat versus humid heat. Well, we found out heat is heat when it gets that hot. You're either drenched in sweat or feel like you just opened your oven door and the heat poured out at you but it doesn't stop like when you back away from the oven. But excluding the weather which is hardly ever perfect for me (and I admit it) we had a wonderful vacation.

Went shopping, took the kids for ice cream one evening, went to homecoming days at the high school where Bryan escorted a beautiful girl and she won the Queen of the homecoming. You should have seen him in a tux. Then over the weekend we took the kids shopping and to a movie of their choice. It was "Alpha and Omega" and was about wolves. All in all we had a real good time and I hope to get some pictures on this from the homecoming as soon as I get them developed. Yes, I used an old fashioned camera, the kind that isn't instant like most things we have now days.

I just looked at the clock and I have a appointment soon Ive got to run. Love to all.

Until next time,
God Bless y'all.
