Computers

Good to be back to say hi. I've been having some issues with my computer and I am pretty sure we can have them corrected early next week.

Thank you everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes that were posted on face book. I was very touched. My honey took me, Scott (his birthday too) and our grandson Seth out for dinner. It was a very relaxing evening.

Moving ahead with New Beginnings has also been an issue but I plan on getting things back on track as soon as this last thing is taken care on on my pc. Just waiting for a little money to get the part.

Tomorrow is one busy day. We have a church meeting at 9am, then, Matt's graduation party at 2 and then Mary and Rob's 25th at approx. 5pm.

Sunday a special speaker from Africa. 10:30 at Family Worship Center in Geneseo. In the plaza with the movie theater. Can't think of the plaza name. Then a picnic at Stony Brook with family from Florida.

So I just wanted to take time to say hi.

Until next week.
God Bless Y'all.

Time Flies

I just opened this and it can't be that I haven't written since June 9. Can this be possible, I thought it was just a couple of weeks and I was pretty down on myself for going that long. Well just get movin on is the attitude I am taking.

Korana, I have just looked at your blog and can't believe I passed up that beautiful trip. The pictures are great. But I need to tell you the news that friends were able to visit your adopted son through Compassion was outstanding. Okay, I cried as I saw his pictures and how happy he was. How blessed you and Wayne were to have this experience. I don't think many people can communicate with their adopted kids after they are grown. I know we weren't able to even though we had the same boy from a little guy till he grew up and had to leave the program. They told us the only way it can be done is if we knew someone who spoke his language and then someone here who could interrupt his letters back to us. We do know he became a mechanic. He somehow managed to stay in the program till 22 and I guess that is unusual. Mpagi was from Uganda.

We finally made it to storage and I found pictures that I forgot even existed.

I spent a week house sitting for Wayne and Korana and I was so busy I was only there to sleep most of the time. One kitty, Sneakers 'AKA' Buddy decided to go out and stay gone for two and a half days. The little stinker.

I just talked to my Aunt Evelyn and she sounded real good. She and my Uncle Fred have had company and so have kept busy and I think she likes this. I hope I am as active at 92 as she is. But I'm not telling her age.

I just donated a copy of WHAT'S DONE IS DONE to a non-profit organization and they were thrilled to get it. I hope to get some feed back next time I am there.

The only new thing around here is that life keeps getting busier all the time.

Hey, Marge, I found pictures of Jeff and Judy's wedding reception. Can you believe it? Nancy and ED and Linda and her late husband plus many others. I have one of you too. I'll send it to you if you want. Just let me know. Your mom wants to know when we are coming back. I told her I'm not sure but hope before cold weather.

Got to go and get cooled off. My next goal is a scanner so I can put pictures on here.

Until next time.
God Bless Y'all.

Family

I just read Korana's post about the playground. We live by an elementary school like she said in her blog and sometimes I admit I get frustrated by the noise of kids yelling and having a good time outside during their recess. What's up with that?? I guess I am getting old. They are just normal kids having fun. So, I am trying to look at it differently. I know that Denver, Willa, and Adalyn will continue to be happy to play there for some time yet and that makes me very happy. Ellianna, Ben, and Shawn Jr. enjoy it too. I just wish they could all come more.

I have chosen to house-sit for Wayne and Korana instead of going with them to Virginia Beach for a week vacation. Now you all must think I have lost my mind. But listen this will be so good. I can visit my Aunt Audrey, the individuals that I used to work with when I first started at the Arc of Monroe, and also visit Shawn, Lesley, Shawn Jr., Ben, and Ellie. And last but not least is I am going to make it a working vacation and I will be working on the book without pressure (from myself) to do housework etc. I might even talk my honey into staying a night or two. Sound romantic? Could be!! So, all said I think it was the right decision for me this time. Maybe there will be another time to go.

Scott and I are going storage picking this week. I really want to find some things we have stored and I am sure they are in the back of our storage unit. I wouldn't think of trying this alone. I am not that crazy.

Please pray for my friend, Kathy who broke her leg a few months ago, and has needed another surgery. I haven't heard how that went. She might not be up to contacting me yet. I'll update you all when I know more.

Until next time,
God Bless Y'all (I can see the smile Shawn)

Computers

Today I have tried to get on several websites and apparently the internet is too busy to allow me access to where I want to be including Face Book. This is kind of frustrating.

The paragraph above was written yesterday. I continued it and had a lot of information in this but had to Save it and Publish Post later. When I went to do this a short time later all I had was the couple of sentences above. I was too frustrated to do it again. Here I am and my honey just pulled in and I need to get him something to eat before church.

New Beginnings is coming along nicely and I'm about to introduce a new character in the next chapter. I'm excited about this but am not sure exactly what kind of person he will be yet. Face Book is getting too busy and complicated to get on so I might not be on there often. We'll see. Sorry to cut this short.

Denver and Will are in their Dance Recital this weekend and we probably aren't going to be able to go. I will be working till 7am and not getting much rest. I'm sure Korana will be posting pictures. If you are on her blog or want to be it's called Glitter Bug. I'll have to ask her if the complete link can be reached from this one.

Until next time, and very soon I hope,
God Bless y'all

Heat

Okay, it's feeling a lot like summer. But isn't it just a little too early for this extreme heat? I am not complaining, I will take heat over the extreme cold any day but I am a little overwhelmed with yesterday and today. We are planning a weekend in Ohio and plan on leaving this Friday and back on Monday. My aunt says it's suppose to be in the 70's on Saturday and I think that would be just perfect for me. I'm looking forward to a nice visit. Going back to the heat for a minute, I just bought a second air conditioner from a neighbor who is moving. I only paid twenty-five dollars for it and it has a remote. Talk about moving into high tech. stuff.

Mary and Rob just received thirty-seven baby chicks. Actually baby pheasants. They arrived at the post office early this morning, and she got a call at eight to come pick up her "babies". They were born sometime Sunday night and shipped out from Iowa on Monday morning. We are going to see them tonight. I just talked to her and I guess they are about the size of a gold ball except the runt who is a little smaller. They have to be in a temperature controlled environment for a while. The water they drink also had to be a certain temp. at least for now. I can't wait to see them.

I need to learn how to put pictures on this. Mary put some on my-space for RD, Rose and the girls. And I also received a picture on my Verizon phone this morning of the chicks. I really want to play around with pictures.

I need to get back to my novel. It's coming slowly, and that's alright. Did I tell you all that the title is New Beginnings? I'm pretty sure I did.
So let me get to it again and also take time to fix a supper, something I don't do often enough.

Until next time,
God Bless y'all

Hi

Well, it's 11 am and I have to leave for a work meeting in a few minutes so I just wanted to say hi.

The novel is moving along but slowly and those of you who have written much know what I mean. You write then revise, then write more and sometimes decide you need to go in a different direction. What I thought was the start of the book has now been moved to partway in. I have some new ideas and need to put them in and then Mary will review this and say, "take that out or put that back here." Her insight has been my strength. One day she was telling me over the phone what she felt needed changing, and I was silently agreeing with her, but while she was talking and before I was able to speak, we lost power and that means we lose our phone too. On her end she thought I hung up on her. The power came back on quickly and I called back, she said I was walking around talking to myself saying, "I was sure we were past that part, Mom doesn't get upset when I tell her things like that anymore. What's up with that?" I had to laugh as I reassured her that I was past that. We both laughed and moved on. She is critical and I do appreciate it this time around. I've always listened but it used to discourage me but I really appreciate her more than I did before. I even look at myself more critically.

I just looked at the clock and need to get on the road and head for the city.

Please pray for my son who has a bad back issue and is seeing the doctor this morning.

I'll try to be back sooner.
Until then God Bless Y'all.

Hello

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there.

Last night was Girl's Night Out and we went to a movie and had some good laughs after. Poor Mike, we invaded his house about ten or so while he was trying to watch the Nascar race. I wonder how that worked out for him with four giggling females in the kitchen?

I sent my grandson, Seth a text early yesterday afternoon and he got it at 11:30 last night. He asked me what I was doing sending a text at that hour. I told him I wasn't.

Today we just went to church, Wegmans, stopped at Mary's to pick up groceries I left there and came home. So how did I forget groceries? Well, I was trying to get home to change into warmer clothes before going to the movies and guess we unloaded some of mine with hers. I've talked to my kids so I am pretty much a happy camper on this special day of the year. Oh ya, and all the mom's got a gift card from church for none other than Dunkin Donuts. My favorite place.

The sun is out now and I'm planning on spring returning in the morning. Enough of this snow and cold in May.

Tomorrow I finally start my PT. I can't wait. Pinched nerve go away.

Rose, did you write that you have a web cam? I can't wait to see you guys and the girls will be able to see us. Let me know as soon as you get it up and running. Sign up for Skype, it's free and I really like it. You will be able to get Shawn and Lesley on there too.

Update on Matt's college of choice; it's Ithaca. The program he is going in only allows 12 students each year. Congratulations, Matt.

Virginia, Samantha and her friend Mandy were stranded in Nashville for a day or so because of the flood but they are fine.

Scott has a beautiful 10 month old puppy, he is Pitt Bull and American something. I can't remember the last part. He is so lovable, his name is Dozzer. I'm not sure how he spells it but you get the idea. This is the second Pitt I have known and they sure get a bum rap most of the time. Sadie was the most gentle and sweet dog I have ever known. She loved kids and people too. I know Mike and Cher still miss her.

Well as usual I need to close.
Until next time.
God Bless Y'all.
